“If I had one hour to save the world, I would spend 55 minutes on the question and 5 minutes on solutions” - Albert Einstein – loosely translated

Founded in 2012, AET Africa innovates and manufactures clean-tech, energy-efficient products to provide substantial savings for both domestic and commercial users.

To be the catalyst and strategic partner for innovation and manufacturing of sustainable quality products for Africa. Our raison d’etre is to save our customers money, offer convenience and affordability, as well as solutions that are accessible and sustainable.

Our core values are: Efficiency, Passion, Accountability, Trustworthy and Reliability. Think of us like your favourite aunt – with a degree in science.

AET AFRICA is 55% women owned, BBBEE level 2 company that is 80% Black owned with offices in East London and a manufacturing plant in Dimbaza. The company is owned by a trio with more than 20 years cumulative experience in manufacturing and management.

Our main innovations are in the water heating space targeting high pressure electrical and solar geysers/water heaters. There’s the Hotspot for geyser optimisation and the Heat Raider for commercial application. We also manufacture unique textiles under our #Go Green label.

It is a flexible glove-like device that is retrofitted over the geyser element resulting in the thermosiphon effect. The effect on your wallet is a 27% saving on electricity.

They can be bought online at our store, or contact a distributor in your area who could also provide installation assistance.

Our retail partners include On Tap, Build It, MICA, AR Boards and Shepstone.
Soon to be available on Takealot and Plumblink!

Not really – if you know geysers. Although the Hotspot is made from an inert material, you are working with water and electricity – no time to be ‘feeling your way around’. Need we say more?

It recycles the heat generated by refrigeration units, saving 25% on energy plus a 20% improvement in cooling efficiency. A win-win situation for clients like large food retailers.

This is a customised solution – contact us to speak to our resident commercial energy experts.

Our textiles division manufactures and designs bags for a wide range of applications – from shopping bags to conference goodie-bags as well as promotional products. We can do high-end as well as bags for everyday use – with or without branding.

This is a trick question – not many people know it because it is in Khoisan (which is not one of our official languages to add to the confusion). It means ‘Diverse People Unite’. So getting together with us is a good thing.
