The AET AFRICA team would like to extend a word of gratitude to everyone who took the time to attend the Hotspot launch on the 18th of October 2018. From the MEC, funders and all other stakeholders from customers right down to the community at large.
It has been a long and strenuous journey getting to the commercialisation stage, but through hard work, dedication, late nights, sweat and the tears we are finally at a place where the project can confidently be deemeda meticulous success.
We would like to extend a sincere and genuinethank you to all our stakeholders for their unwavering support on this product; starting from the research phase, which was an uphill battle on its own right through to the commercialisation phase. Special thanks to our commercialization funders Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) through Technology Venture Capital (TVC) and seed funders namely The Innovation Hub (THI), Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) through Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) and Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) through Grassroots innovation program and the Department of Science and Technology (DST). Our launch sponsors such as the Department of Economic Development Environmental Affairs, Ikusasa Green, ELIDZ, ECDC and IDC. Without the support, time, money and resources that you invested in this product there would be nothing to commercialise or launch.
Our research partners for excellent service in research development and innovation support namely East London Industrial Development Zone Science and Technology Park (ELIDZ STP), BASF Chemicals, Chemtree, Rhodes University and Fort Hare University, each one of these institutions played a huge and vital role in making sure that the hotspot gets to see the light of day.
May you extend the same amount of effort and dedication to other innovators, may you continue to stand in support of SMME’s so that our innovators can stay in our province instead of realising their dreams and potential elsewhere.
Last but not least, thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly in ensuring that the launch came together splendidly and became a success, from the AET factory team, the planning team and the Asipikoevents management team. Thank you very much for your hard work. May we see many more successful projects together.
